My name is Siavash Fashi, and my story didn’t start in a gym.
It started in a war zone in Iran.
I was just a kid, watching the world collapse around me.
No dreams. No opportunities. Just survival.
But one day, a friend showed me a picture that changed my life—Arnold Schwarzenegger, strong, posing, and smiling.
In the middle of all the chaos, that photo gave me hope.
Bodybuilding became my escape.

At 18, life hit me again when I was diagnosed with cancer in my right eye, with no treatment and no hope. That’s when I fled my country and became a refugee in America—stateless, broke, and alone.
I worked in a pizza shop by day, slept there at night, and worked as a security guard for $8.25 an hour.
Every spare moment, I studied bodybuilding, fitness, and nutrition in a language I barely understood—learning English one word at a time.
And I did it.
I stood on stage and competed in bodybuilding, becoming the person I used to dream about as a boy hiding from bombs.
In 2011, after losing my security job with $3,000 in unemployment money, I bet everything on myself and I opened a small gym.
